ABOUT THE ARTIST

 

In 1972, when the Saturday Evening Post organization held a contest for the replacement of their illustrator, Norman Rockwell, Robert Charles Howe, then age 18, won the contest. Of the work he submitted, Rockwell said it was: "better than I was at 18”

Howe also became an illustrator in 1984 of children's books for the publishing house of E.P. Dutton.
