This piece was created for print advertising by Philadelphia Made Hardware. Presented initially untitled, this piece was the focus of a caption naming contest, 1st prize being the painting. The winner, Minnehaha Hardware and Paint Co. Minneapolis Mn, named the piece Football Interference. A fresh and new to the market Saint Paul Minnesota estate find. Work retains original verso press news clipping and inscription to caption contest winner. |
