Caricature by George Wachsteter (1911-2004) for the Broadway show `How to be a Jewish Mother` with Godfrey Cambridge & Molly Picon, at the Hudson Theatre. Based on humorist Dan Greenberg`s scathingly funny book that also became the best-selling non-fiction book for 1965, the show only ran Dec 28, 1967 - Jan 13, 1968, for 20 performances, but Cambridge and Picon were highly praised by the critics, and their stage chemistry was said to break new ground for interracial relations. On 17 1/2" x 22" illustration board, for the New York Journal-American. 10" x 14 1/4" image. Fine condition.
