ABOUT THE ARTIST
A twin brother of illustrator Jerome Rozen, he was a skilled, pulp illustrator who produced "Shadow" covers from 1932 to 1939 and in the early 1940s and also for many other western publications. He settled on Long Island, and worked many years as a cover artist for Street & Smith.
As youths he and his brother moved to Flagstaff, Arizona for health reasons. He was in the Signal Corps during World War I and followed his brother to the Art Institute of Chicago where Jerome, having been there a year, was one of his teachers. George married Ellen Mason, and the couple settled in New York City.
