ABOUT THE ARTIST

 

Charles Henry Cushman Parker (April 28, 1881 - September 5, 1940) A.K.A. "Cushman Parker", was a known Painter and Illustrator. 
Born in Boston, Massachusetts to Charles W. Parker (b. 1859) and Clara A. Springer Parker (b. 1863).  His father was the proprietor of a restaurant, and the family resided in 1900 on High Street in Worcester, Massachusetts.  During the early part of the 20th century Cushman Parker was a prominent competitor of the younger, noted American illustrator, Norman Rockwell (1894-1978).
