The Silent Invaders was first published as a paperback Ace Double in 1963, which reissued it as a stand-alone volume in 1973; a Tor paperback appeared in 1985. The novel was expanded from a novelette which first appeared in Infinity Science Fiction in 1958.
According to the publisher: "The novel is about two advanced alien races who use Earth as a battleground without the Earth's knowledge. The story also involves an alien race who have surgically altered themselves to look human and are infiltrating Earth to take it over."
